Specifically made from Grade 5 HT Steel with a long shank ( approx 3/4" ) and an overall length of 1.1/8". The long shank is necessary to lock the lever in place, using a fully threaded screw or bolt will allow movement and return the ubiquitous sloppy pudding stirrer of a gearchange.
