| The C Washer locates the primary gear backing ring 88G549, these two in conjuction maintain the position of the primary gear on the crankshaft. Both these parts wear so chould be checked, wear on the C washer is shown by two indents where it has been pressed into the crank, you will usually find this on one side, simple answer is to turn it around with the flat, good, side pointing away from the block.
